Abstract

The study was conducted among micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Dong Nai Province, a key industrial and service hub in southern Vietnam. The surveyed subjects were enterprises that have adopted at least one form of cashless payment, such as VNPay, Napas, Momo, or ZaloPay, primarily operating in the trade and service sectors, with a focus on the food and beverage industry. The research employed a quantitative approach, using a purposive sampling method with a total of 340 enterprises, and collected primary data through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), including assessments of reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and hypothesis testing. The findings indicate that cashless payment and financial literacy both have a positive and statistically significant impact on the performance of MSMEs, while financial literacy does not significantly moderate this relationship. These results suggest that the two factors, although independent, jointly play crucial roles in improving business performance and competitiveness.
