FACTORS INFLUENCING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF TOURISM ENTERPRISES: A CASE STUDY OF DONG NAI PROVINCE

Abstract

In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation has become an inevitable trend, enabling enterprises to enhance operational efficiency, optimize management processes, and create greater economic value. The tourism sector, with its customer-centric nature, particularly requires the adoption of digital solutions to foster innovation and promptly respond to shifts in market demand. However, in Vietnam, in-depth studies on the factors influencing digital transformation in this sector—especially at the local level—remain limited. This study surveys 214 tourism enterprises to identify and measure the key factors influencing digital transformation and proposes relevant managerial implications. The results of Cronbach’s Alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Pearson correlation, and multiple regression analyses reveal six statistically significant and positively influential factors: (1) Awareness, (2) Technology, (3) Organizational Structure, (4) Culture, (5) Financial Resources and (6) Government Support Policies, with leadership awareness exerting the strongest effect. Based on these findings, the study proposes prioritized managerial implications to enhance the effectiveness of digital transformation, strengthen competitiveness, and promote sustainable development.
