Biến đổi khí hậu và ô nhiễm môi trường đang trở thành thách thức toàn cầu, đòi hỏi các quốc gia phải tìm kiếm các giải pháp hiệu quả nhằm giảm phát thải carbon. Nghiên cứu này phân tích tác động của tiêu thụ năng lượng tái tạo (RENC) và thuế môi trường (ETAX) đến phát thải carbon dựa trên tiêu dùng (CCO2) tại các quốc gia Đông Âu thuộc Liên minh châu Âu, sử dụng phương pháp hồi quy Bayesian. Kết quả cho thấy cả RENC và ETAX đều góp phần làm giảm phát thải CCO2, trong đó thuế môi trường điều chỉnh hành vi kinh tế, còn năng lượng tái tạo đóng vai trò thay thế năng lượng hóa thạch trong dài hạn. Nghiên cứu nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của việc kết hợp chính sách thuế môi trường và phát triển năng lượng sạch nhằm thúc đẩy bền vững môi trường.
