This study evaluates the axial compressive behavior of reinforced concrete columns incorporating recycled coarse aggregate under hot and dry curing conditions. Recycled coarse aggregate was used to replace natural coarse aggregate at replacement ratios of 0%, 25%, and 45%. For each replacement ratio, three cube specimens and three column specimens were cured at 35 °C and 46% relative humidity and tested at 28 days. The cube specimens were used to determine the concrete compressive strength, while the column specimens were tested under axial compression to determine the maximum load carrying capacity. Finite element models were developed in Abaqus. Compared with the control group, concrete compressive strength decreased by 4.03% and 7.45%, while column capacity decreased by 4.64% and 6.78% for the 25% and 45% RCA replacement levels, respectively. RCA replacement did not fundamentally change the compression failure mode of the columns. The finite element models reproduced the decreasing trend in load carrying capacity but overpredicted the experimental results, with a mean absolute error of 6.91%. The results provide preliminary experimental and numerical evidence for considering recycled coarse aggregate in short reinforced concrete columns under hot and dry curing conditions.
