Abstract

English communication skills play a crucial role for all students at Quang Trung University, as they contribute significantly to both academic and professional development, particularly in the context of Vietnam’s international integration. However, based on an analysis of the current state of English communication skills training among non-English majors at Quang Trung University, the study reveals that although students have achieved some satisfactory outcomes, many limitations remain. These include a lack of confidence in communication and difficulty using English effectively, even at the basic sentence level. Within the scope of this article, the author summarizes the research findings and proposes several solutions to further enhance students’ English communication skills through activities that create an immersive English environment both inside and outside the classroom.
