Career orientation among university students is currently a matter of great concern in higher education. It is one of the most important tasks for universities to help students choose a career path that suits their abilities, especially for students in the economics field where job market competition is particularly intense. Therefore, identifying the factors influencing the career orientation of economics students is essential in order to provide recommendations that assist universities in supporting students in making the most suitable career choices. This study aims to analyze the factors affecting the career orientation of economics students at Lac Hong University. The research applies Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to test and construct measurement scales, followed by regression analysis to determine the extent to which each factor influences career orientation. The results indicate that five factors have a positive impact, listed in descending order of influence: (1) Orientation toward advancement and stability; (2) Influence from third parties; (3) Social comparison effect; (4) Expected income; and (5) Quality of teaching.
